The Wolfes are an active family. Randy (45), Lisa (43), Amanda (17), Alli
(15) and Spencer (11) are so busy running around that they feel healthy eating is
invaluable to their lifestyle and have accepted the pledge into their lives...
The Wolfes are an active family. Randy (45), Lisa (43), Amanda (17), Alli
(15) and Spencer (11) are so busy running around that they feel healthy eating is
invaluable to their lifestyle and have accepted the pledge into their lives.
With Randy coaching baseball and Lisa an avid swimmer and gardener, the energetic
lifestyle was adopted into the Wolfe family from the beginning. Amanda loves playing
tennis and running, while Alli takes after her mom and goes swimming. But the sports
fanatic is definitely son Spencer who plays everything from baseball to basketball
to soccer.
But the Wolfe family has its challenges. Randy is prone to sleep apnea, Lisa has
high blood pressure and Spencer has asthma. So with a family that's on the go as
much as the Wolfes, they had to create simple and fun ways to get the family to
start thinking about health.
Mom makes it a priority to have at least one extra fruit or vegetable on the dinner
table and that everyone takes a helping of it. The family had the idea of cutting
up fruits and vegetables and storing them in small snack bags so that when they're
on the run they can easily grab a healthy snack out the fridge instead of eating
chips, cookies and candy.
Game night at the Wolfe house is fun and nutritional. They make it an incentive
to have a healthy meal and snack during game night. And when the family goes on
vacation this summer, they are taking the pledge on the road with them. Stay tuned
