National Women's Nutrition Week is right around the corner, April 13-19th, so I thought it would be a great time to address some diseases that affect primarily women, including breast, cervical, colon and ovarian cancer, as well as osteoporosis and heart disease.

The best way to fight all of these diseases is to eat plenty of colorful fruits and vegetables, and other foods that are full of antioxidants and vitamins, such as A, C, D and K and also calcium. A great way to do this today is to take the Just One More for Healthy Living pledge – a national campaign that encourages Americans to eat just one more fruit and vegetable daily, one more lean protein weekly and add 30 minutes of exercise daily.
